Merry Christmas to All!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!!

EJ had cereal for the first time at Christmas dinner. He did great with it and even wanted to do it himself before it was all said and done.

Merry Christmas

This was a special Christmas for our family. It seems like the holidays can serve as milestones for reflection. For me, past Christmases were sad with the realization that our family hadn't expanded and then wondering if I would be a mom next Christmas. This year brought great joy and hopefully you can see our joy in the blog pictures.
Eric and I were so proud that we were actually able to put together a toy that Santa brought E.J. It took teamwork and powertools but we did it! EJ was so amazed by it as you can see by his eyes. His buddy Isaiah is coming to visit us in January so now they will have lots of fun playing together with his new toys.
Poor Forsberg was demoted from Santa to Rudolph this year but he was a good sport about it.

Christmas Eve

Santa E.J. with Eric on the way to Christmas Eve Service.

EJ with Grandpa John watching the sermon! He actually paid attention.

After Christmas Eve dinner, Grandma read the Christmas story. EJ learned how to turn the page. What a genius...if I do say so myself :-) He also sat up ALL by himself as he played with his new penguin santa that sings and dances! A big day for Santa EJ and a great celebration for our family. Hawaii friends

On our last day we met up with Uncle Andy's girlfriend, Kellie, and her family. They were on a Hawaiian cruise and when they got to Kauai we were able to have dinner. EJ loved them and wanted to share his pacifer with Kellie.
On the way home we were on the inaugural flight from Kauai directly to Denver. It worked out well as EJ slept the whole way. It was a great vacation and now we are ready to celebrate Christmas in Colorado!

Hawaii...Day Four (part two)

The luau was fun! We were all given sea shell lei's upon arrival. EJ was really into the show watching all the dancing and fire. When he got tired he settled into my lei for a rest.

Hawaii....Day Four (part one)

EJ went to the beach for the first time today! He seem to like it. We are on our way to a luau now so more pictures coming soon!

Hawaii...Day Three

This day is dedicated to Uncle Andy who requested less scenery and more EJ on the blog from Hawaii. Two of Andy's favorite people are in Hawaii without him this week... it's not me but I am ok with that!
Today Eric and his dad played the Princeville course while Shirley, EJ and I went sightseeing.

Let it Snow!

We woke up to four inches of snow today! It was so beautiful! I had a special appreciation for the snow today since we never had snow days in Dallas. I can't wait to build snowmen and go sledding with EJ in the future. It will be lots of fun. As you can see, Forsberg enjoyed the snow too!

Ali Visits

We enjoyed a weekend with my friend, Ali, who I met as a freshman at Colorado State back in 1991. A mom of three, she gave me ideas on how to get E.J. sleeping through the night now that his weight is back on track...what a gift!
