The Wilcox Family comes to visit!

Eric's Aunt Muriel and Uncle Don and his Cousin Stacy and her husband Ben (along with friends Macy and JT) came to Lincoln for a fun baseball weekend. The Huskers have pulled out two wins so far and we are keeping our fingers crossed for another win today. It's been great having them here! Ben, Stacy, JT and Macy are all CSU grads so it was super fun having some fellow Ram Fans here.
Last night Don and Muriel babysat E.J. so we could go to a coaches function. What a blessing!! Here we all are after Saturday's game.

8 Months

E.J. is 8 months old now! He is an expert crawler and loves pulling up on everything. As you can see he loves flashlights. He also is drawn to power outlets and cords! The past few days have been challenging as he is getting his top teeth. He has been crying a lot and hates to be anywhere but in my arms. I don't mind the snuggle time but if I put him down to get his food ready or do anything he screams. Needless to say it has required us to ask God for lots of extra patience.

Over the weekend we had a visit from my friend Katy from Dallas. It was nice to have her here while Eric was on the road with his team. We are pictured on the field at Haymarket Park where Eric's team plays. It was fun to get to show Katy around Lincoln.

Another Sweep!

We swept Texas Tech this weekend putting Nebraska Baseball at #6 in the country!

Saturday was Junior Home Run Club Day at the ballpark so all the little members got to stand next to a player during the National Anthem. EJ is the youngest member and he got to participate as did the Sorenson's kids who were visiting from North Platte. As the kids lined up before the game, Eric was busy warming up the pitcher so EJ got to hang out with Coach Anderson and some of the players. The local news station, KOLN, put him at the beginning of their news story that night. He was chewing on a ball and could care less about the cameras.

Here EJ is with his Daddy during the National Anthem and celebrating the win after the game.

Texas took the last game from us but we had a great time with the Kendall Family from San Antonio. Brent and Eric grew up together in California and we reconnected with them when we lived in Texas. It was so sweet of them to come to Austin for the game. Their kiddos were so sweet to EJ and he loved them. All the kids were excited when "Bevo" the Texas Longhorn came to say hello to them. I thought for sure EJ would be scared but he wasn't. I'm sure that will come later.

As far as the baseball team goes, we have officially cracked the TOP 10 in baseball. It's super exciting! This weekend we play Texas Tech at home.
