The Huskers swept their double header yesterday! The pitching staff has been amazing with excellent starters and the bullpen throwing 5.5 shutout innings in the second game. One of the freshmen, Ben Kline is hitting .600 and the catcher has hit 3 homeruns already this season.
There were 5,572 fans at the game yesterday! It was a warm, sunny day in Lincoln...perfect day for baseball. You can read more about the game at http://www.journalstar.com/articles/2008/03/02/huskerextra/baseball/doc47c9d2a34026f085928135.txt.
It's too cold to take E.J. to today's game so I am listening on the radio and I just heard them interview Eric on the pitching. He's been on the radio several times this week which is a new experience for us!
Let's hope the season continues to be bright!
